I have never considered that one may have been 'innovative' in pyramid design. I've always thought of Ancient Egypt as rule-bound, transcendental and in the human realm; bureaucracy supreme (where creativity goes to die lol). This is intriguing!

Many thanks for your comment. I have been so steeped in all things pyramid for so long that I had quite forgotten that, like you, I used to think that because everything in Egypt was made of stone, everything was set in stone. I now know it wasn't. The place was brimming with innovation and change; it's just that Egyptologists are not very good at writing about it. I will seek to amend that with a few more articles of innovation in architecture and manufacture.

Thanks Julie~As there was room for creative innovation in the best of such systems (given the nature:culture balance compared to nowadays), there is hope for our modern ways of doing bureaucracy!
