An intriguing read Julia. I have sourced Andres text, I'm interested in learning more about the sa amulets; they sound personalised.

I couldn't find Olga's publication, but am familiar with some of her background and writings via the HarvardX course of her husband Nagy (and team)

Hi Charmayne,

Davidson's work, "Snake and Staff: The Iconography of Healing in Ancient Cultures," explores the significance of the snake and staff symbol across various ancient cultures, particularly in relation to healing and transformation. The single-snake emblem of Asclepius and the double-snake representation are noted as traditional symbols associated with the healing. Her work can also be found in "Acta Theologica Supplementum 7" where she discusses the symbolism of snakes and staffs in the context of healing, likely drawing connections to their historical and cultural significance in various traditions, including biblical and medical practices. The symbolism often represents duality—healing and danger, life and death—highlighting the complex role these symbols play in spiritual and physical healing narratives. I have added a reference to an online PDF for you. file:///C:/Users/HP/Downloads/ajol-file-journals_30_articles_52573_submission_proof_52573-349-81243-1-10-20100310.pdf
